About The Position
To oversee the materials management area, purchase all drugs and supplies under the control of Pharmacy, manage floor stock drugs/inventory, receive pharmaceutical products and inventory to the Pharmacy Department, maintain and support systems that provide floor stock meds, and function as a Pharmacy Technician as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required
- Experience in materials management in retail/hospital pharmacy practice
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical nomenclature, dosage forms, strengths, systems of weights and measures
- Must be able to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule
- Ability to set priorities and solve problems
- Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests
- Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing)
- Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff
