About The Position

The Supervisor, ASC - Business Administration is responsible for overseeing and managing daily workflows in various Administration areas accurately and timely in accordance with company policies, multiple collective bargaining agreements, employee benefits, and state and federal regulations. The supervisor assists the team with their tasks during busy times. This position offers the opportunity to rotate and gain professional growth in the following areas: Payroll, Print & Mail Services, FMLA, DOT Administration, and Personnel Administration. This position directly oversees the DOT Administration and Personnel Administration teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study required with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate degree from an accredited college in a relevant field of study required with 7 years of relevant experience or in lieu of higher education, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and possess a high level of organizational skills; creative self-starter with strong interpersonal skills - able to work effectively as a team and with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, including presentation, written and verbal.
  • Must possess strong skills in MS Office, Word, and Excel and the following Ameren competencies: Be Strategic, Continuously Improve, Deliver Results, Engage Respectfully, Foster Collaboration, and Think Customer.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of regulatory matters preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or high-level project team leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a staff of professionals charged with maintaining accurate employee and/or consultant data in the Human Capital Management system.
  • Administer system changes and updates to systems, including system upgrades while ensuring the integrity of the systems.
  • Act as a lead technical and functional resource.
  • Provides regular performance feedback to staff, ensures day-to-day work is completed, ensures employees are given tools, training and resources needed to perform and exceed in their jobs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures, controls, and objective metrics to facilitate accurate measurements of performance.
  • Maintain and review production to identify, report and troubleshoot various problems and issues; take prompt remedial and corrective action, when necessary, based upon business objectives.
  • Encourage and facilitate a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement by identifying, analyzing, recommending, and implementing process improvements to advance overall operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a liaison between Ameren business units and necessary external service providers.
  • Maintain a high degree of integrity to safeguard the Company's position on confidential matters.
  • Provide oversight of DOT and Drug & Alcohol compliance, unemployment administration, bulletin board postings, essential function surveys, data maintenance, staffing support, records management, and related business processes.
