About The Position

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations and administrative management of staff and activities. This includes ensuring high-quality care for patients with respiratory conditions, managing staff, coordinating care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. This position requires patient care.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy required
  • Respiratory Therapist [Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Board of Respiratory Care required
  • Clinical experience in pediatric pulmonary care, respiratory therapy, or a related field 3-5 years required

  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting 1-2 years preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of pediatric pulmonary services, ensuring optimal patient care and smooth daily operations.
  • Supervise and support clinical staff, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and administrative personnel. Ensure staff training, professional development, and performance evaluations are completed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for patients with pulmonary conditions such as asthma, cystic fibrosis, and other respiratory disorders.
  • Lead efforts to enhance pediatric pulmonary services, develop new initiatives, and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
  • Ensure the department complies with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and safety protocols. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Manage department resources, including scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families about pulmonary conditions, treatment plans, and ongoing care.
  • Monitor department performance, collect and analyze patient care data, and prepare reports for senior management on patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
