Role reports to the Allentown, PA site and reports to the Clinical Trials Division (CTD). Discover Impactful Work: As a Packaging/Labeling Supervisor at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll manage a team responsible for ensuring clinical pharmaceutical products are packaged and labeled with the highest standards of quality and compliance. You'll oversee 20-40 employees across multiple production lines, applying Good Manufacturing Principles while demonstrating our core values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.

A Day in the Life: This role combines technical expertise with people leadership, as you'll be responsible for daily operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and developing your team's capabilities. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, optimize processes, and ensure timely delivery of critical pharmaceutical products that support healthcare outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2 years of experience with an Advanced Degree, or Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging or FDA-regulated industry required.
• Experience managing teams of 10+ employees
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques including line balancing, Takt Time, 5S, SMED, TPM
• Experience using manufacturing/quality systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coaching teams and interfacing with stakeholders
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities for investigating deviations and implementing solutions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various environmental conditions
• Visual acuity to perform quality inspections and color vision requirements
• Must be available to work various shifts including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
• Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities in a deadline-driven environment

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Degree is a plus
• Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Management, Engineering, Scientific field, or related discipline
• Additional certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Project Management preferred
