This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure customer requirements are met in accordance with standard criteria. The Supervisor will interpret aircraft loading instructions, hazardous material labels, and manifests, ensuring accuracy and compliance. A key aspect of this role is organizing teams for the safe and timely loading/offloading of trucks and aircraft, delegating duties to optimize productivity. The Supervisor must maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and security, adhering to all government regulations. Accurate completion of internal and billing paperwork with appropriate approvals is also required. This position involves providing leadership, guidance, motivation, and support to various teams, including office administration, lead hands, ramp staff, and operators, to ensure on-time flight performance. Training, coaching, and feedback are essential, as is handling performance matters and disciplinary issues professionally and in conjunction with HR. Effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders is crucial for operational success. The Supervisor must enforce company policies and procedures, delegate responsibilities, conduct audits, and suggest operational improvements. Flexibility to adapt to irregular operations and a willingness to learn backup operational skills are also necessary.
