About The Position

This role is responsible for performing tasks and training within their assigned area. Key responsibilities include the design and implementation of system and entity policies related to data collection, patient and family education, the Corporate Compliance program, patient rights and responsibilities, legal consents, release of information, medical staff bylaws, and JCAHO, state, and federal regulations. The position also involves maintaining staff productivity standards, monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), reviewing patient account errors and denials, providing guidance to staff for corrections, managing work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing, taking weekend calls, and monitoring Press Ganey scores and patient comments, communicating feedback for improvements.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3 Years related experience
  • Typing or PC skills
  • Medical terminology
  • Good organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Performing tasks and training of assigned area.
  • Designing and implementing system and entity policies related to data collections, patient and family education, Corporate Compliance program, patient rights and responsibilities, legal consents, release of information, medical staff bylaws, and JCAHO, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintaining staff's productivity standards set by the department, including pulling reports and triaging accounts to even out worklists.
  • Maintaining KPIs as set forth by the department.
  • Reviewing patient account errors and denials pertaining to the Insurance Verification's Department and providing guidance to staff for corrections.
  • Distributing corrections and denials as appropriate.
  • Maintaining appropriate work schedules and ensuring adequate staffing.
  • Taking weekend calls as needed.
  • Completing other duties as assigned.
  • Monitoring Press Ganey Scores and patient comments.
  • Communicating Press Ganey information with staff and communicating improvements needed with employees, ancillary departments, and clinical areas.
