This salary range is an average range for this position. We anticipate accepting applications up through July 10th, 2026, or until the position is filled OverviewThe Accounting Supervisor will ensure organizational adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements. Ensure timely preparation and review of all required regulatory filings. Advise in annual budgeting and prepare accounting reports for executive leadership. Review work submitted by accountants and manage accounting close processes. Perform analysis on organizational or business unit financial and accounting metrics for presentation to leadership. This role will coordinate and lead daily team activities as well as spend a portion of time performing the work of those they supervise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree plus 3 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal controls and financial reporting, required

Responsibilities

  • Secures financial operations by monitoring and approving financial processing, reporting, and auditing; supervising of staff
  • Implement and process automation improvements to reduce reconciliation efforts
  • Review general ledger accounts, balance sheet and income statement schedules and the required adjusting journal entries prepared by accounting staff for accuracy and completeness
  • Supervise the accuracy and completion of the day-to-day functions of the Accounting Department
  • Ensure complete, accurate, timely and consistent financial reporting to make sure the company follows organizational and governmental policies and procedures
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of monthly Financial Statements and Analytical Reviews
  • Analyze designated balance sheet and expense accounts within deadlines utilizing the financial statement reporting tools (e.g., Business Warehouse, TM1, Excel, etc.)
  • Interact with other departments to resolve outstanding balance sheet reconciliation items (e.g., Supplier Billing to ensure that charge-backs are completed in a timely manner, etc.)
  • Supervise General Ledger processes by assisting to ensure pricing and profitability is accurate
  • Compile and prepare state beverage and/or sales tax returns as needed; assist with data gathering for budget purposes
  • Assist with physical inventory and cycle count reconciliations, prepare gross profit reconciliations
  • Resolve internal and external customer issues by returning/acknowledging phone calls and emails in a timely manner and providing responses and resolutions timely
  • Support internal and external audit activities, as required, to ensure that auditors are provided with the necessary information to complete their audits timely
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
