About The Position

The Supervisor-Nutrition Services is responsible for the supervision of employees in various areas of Nutritional Services, including cafeteria, production, patient meal service, tray line, dish room, catering, and Diet Offices. This role ensures that food production, food service, and diet office operations adhere to established policies and procedures. The Supervisor monitors the timeliness and accuracy of menu selection, food quality, and sanitation and safety procedures. They are also responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, assisting with employee performance evaluations, managing human resource functions, time and attendance, and staff scheduling. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nutrition, Hospitality, or related field required (Experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Minimum two years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory control.
  • Able to use a computer, printer, and software programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment.
  • Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
  • Able to collaborate and accept direction.
  • Able to think critically.
  • Able to manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Able to problem solve.

  • Able to see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
  • Current ServSafe Certificate required.
  • Current Driver's License required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one year supervisory experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR), Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Culinary Degree, Nutrition Degree, or Dietary Services Supervisor Certification (DSS) Preferred.
