About The Position
The Supervisor Nutrition Services role oversees meal service operations and supports the delivery of safe, accurate, and satisfying patient meals. The supervisor adjusts staffing schedules when employees are unable to report to work, monitors food and equipment temperatures and takes immediate corrective action when standards are not met, and ensures patient service areas and equipment remain clean. The role also responds to patient service concerns, conducts quality checks, contributes input to employee performance reviews, and maintains knowledge of the system’s modified diets.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience and training.
Responsibilities
- Modify the schedule to ensure optimal meal service when employees are unable to report to work.
- Monitor refrigeration and freezer temperatures, dish machine temperatures, and food temperatures; take corrective action immediately when standards are not met.
- Ensure cleanliness of patient services areas and equipment.
- Perform patient service recovery and inform the manager of actions taken and follow-up measures needed to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Perform quality checks, including tray accuracy, test trays, meal rounds, and AIDET audits.
- Provide input for introductory reviews and annual performance appraisals.
- Maintain working knowledge of modified diets in use at the system.
