About The Position

CentraCare Monticello Hospital is seeking a dedicated and motivated Nutritional Services Associate to help ensure patients receive nutritious and appetizing meals tailored to their dietary needs. The associate works with the dietary team to prepare, deliver, and serve meals while following food safety and sanitation guidelines. Prior food service or customer service experience is helpful, but education and experience are not the primary focus. This is a part-time position of 56 hours every two weeks. Workdays vary between 5:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., with scheduled shifts of 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m., 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., or 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. The role includes every other weekend and rotating holidays. Starting pay is $17.46 per hour, with higher pay for experience; the stated pay range is $17.46–$26.41 per hour.

Requirements

Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently as needed.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and human relations skills.

Responsibilities

Read menus accurately and place the correct items on patient trays before serving.
Collect and remove trash to designated containers and keep work areas clean.
Collect assigned trays or clean dining rooms while following safety and sanitation standards.
Operate the cash register and serve customers as needed.
Work with co-workers to wash dishes and clean food carts within deadlines.
Use the dish machine, disposal, food carts, and other equipment skillfully and with good judgment.
Clean the work area after completing each task.
