The role is responsible for the delivery of Nutrition Services for assigned areas. This position participates in implementing site plans to support strategic plans and goals for Nutrition Services, provides oversight for assigned areas, manages results, and ensures positive site relations. The Supervisor will also be accountable for service and quality improvement results (Press Ganey/HCAHPS), participate in the collection of key success metrics, monitor results, and ensure department performance expectations are met for their assigned areas. They will formulate or provide input into department business plans, participate in the development of strategic long and short-term goals and plans for functions in assigned sites, and maintain standards and philosophies for their assigned areas within the department. Additionally, the role involves providing input into the annual budget, managing assigned resources within the approved budget, and monitoring financial results. The Supervisor will interview, hire, orient, coach, and develop staff members, assign duties and responsibilities, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and take corrective action as needed. They must comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the operation of Nutrition Services, maintain current knowledge of business operations and management techniques, and model the behaviors embodied in the mission of Beaumont. Participation on various hospital committees and maintaining a safe work environment are also key aspects of this role.
