About The Position
This position is eligible for up a $25,000 sign on bonus. The pay range for this position is $40.25-62.59. This role involves (3) 12 hour night shifts per week and every other weekend, from 7p-7a. The Supervisor represents Corning Hospital and Nursing Administration in their absence.
Requirements
- License to practice in the State of New York
- 5 years of clinical experience in acute care setting
- 1 year of experience in Critical Care
- Demonstrated abilities in leadership and clinical roles

Responsibilities
- Assumes a collaborative role in staffing and scheduling of personnel, considering appropriate utilization of personnel, scope of practice, competencies, patient needs and complexity of care.
- Seeks to support a professional practice environment which fosters excellence in nursing practice.
- Fosters professional nurse empowered decision‐making, accountability and autonomy in nursing practice.
- Responds and assumes appropriate role in emergency codes/crisis intervention.
- Addresses Employee Health incidents appropriately.
- Demonstrates knowledge of NYSDOH Codes and reporting requirements.
- Communicates with patient, family and healthcare providers regarding patient care, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Effectively promotes service‐recovery.
- Maintains confidentiality while serving as a professional liaison with the community.
- Functions as a mentor for development of nursing staff.
- Participates in professional continuing education programs.
- Participates in nursing committees, performance improvement activities and initiatives.
