About The Position

The Medical Technologist Supervisor is responsible and accountable for overseeing all functions and activities for specific shift(s) or specific departments and for the accurate and timely performance of technical procedures in accordance with all current regulatory and accreditation standards. The supervisor must demonstrate excellent technical skills, excellent critical thinking skills, communication, and customer service skills. Methodist Southwest Medical Center, previously known as Methodist Charlton Medical Center, is a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital that serves Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Lancaster, and Glen Heights in southwestern Dallas County. In addition to the new 40,000-square-foot expansion of the emergency department, we offer a newly renovated intensive care unit, labor and delivery unit, and interventional radiology suite; a Level III Trauma Center, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and the Dr. Stephen and Marilyn Mansfield Oncology Unit. We have been recognized for excellence in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, open heart surgery, and STEMI care, stroke care, hip and knee joint replacement, women and children’s services, and more. Requirements

  • Must be able to work 2pm to 10:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation
  • Must be a generalist (Core Lab and Blood Bank)
  • Must be a MT/MLS (4 year degree)
  • Supervisor for (micro, serology and point-of-care) Must know at least 2 areas, and will train on the 3rd.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of previous Laboratory Supervisor experience
  • 3 years of Lab Scientist experience
