About The Position

Performs routine and special diagnostics testing and lab procedures in various specialty sections of the Clinical Laboratory in a prompt, accurate and reliable manner according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures. These specialty sections include Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank and Microbiology. On occasion will serve as a general supervisor and assists in training new hires.

Written skills at college level
Instrumentation and manual skills which require practice to become proficient, routinely acquired during the training period.

Nice To Haves

1 year experience working in a clinical laboratory as a Medical Technologist
Met or exceed the regulatory CLIA testing personnel requirements
ASCP/ASMT/NCA/HHS/ASPT and other related certification preferred
Board-eligible for MT or MLT certification

Responsibilities

Performs routine and special diagnostics testing and lab procedures in various specialty sections of the Clinical Laboratory.
Ensures testing is done in a prompt, accurate, and reliable manner according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Works in specialty sections including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Blood Bank, and Microbiology.
Serves as a general supervisor on occasion.
Assists in training new hires.
