Legend Valve & Fitting is an employee-owned manufacturer and service provider in plumbing and hydronics systems within the residential, light/commercial, and industrial construction markets. We have an expansive offering of valves, fittings, tubing, and components for plumbing and hydronic systems. We offer more than 10,000 products representing 80+ product classes designed for plumbing, water service, radiant heating/cooling, snow & ice melt, turf warming, irrigation, and industrial applications. Legend Valve is headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, with locations in Reno, Nevada and Stafford, Texas. The Supervisor – Manufacturing & Extrusion Operations supports the daily operations of a high-volume manufacturing facility within the plumbing industry. This role is responsible for overseeing extrusion processes, driving production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and supporting team leadership efforts. The Assistant Manager partners closely with the Plant and Assistant Manager to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while fostering a positive and productive work environment. This position works 8p-4:30a Sun-Thursday.

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred
3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; extrusion experience strongly preferred
Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a production setting
Strong understanding of thermoplastic extrusion processes, with preferred experience in PE-RT, PEX, PVC, and CPVC materials preferred
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to read and interpret production reports, technical documents, and specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); experience with ERP systems is a plus
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day manufacturing operations, with a focus on extrusion processes and downstream production activities
Supervise and coordinate production team members to ensure schedules and production targets are achieved
Monitor extrusion equipment performance and collaborate with maintenance to minimize downtime
Ensure adherence to safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize throughput
Assist in training, coaching, and developing production employees and team leads
Partner with quality teams to ensure products meet industry and company standards
Review production data and KPIs to identify trends and implement corrective actions
Support inventory control, material usage, and production planning activities
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment (5S principles)
Step in for the Plant Manager as needed to support operations and decision-making
