Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline OR comparable number of years of applicable work experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment.
  • 2 years of experience providing work direction, lead, or supervisory responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supervising employees in print production, bindery, or distribution operations.
  • Working knowledge of production scheduling, workflow planning, and performance metrics.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office products or production reporting systems.
  • Ability to interpret production data, reports, and schedules.
  • Comfort with basic mathematics such as decimals, metric units, and dimensions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and direction to non-exempt manufacturing employees.
  • Review production schedules and assess material, equipment, and manpower requirements.
  • Assign and reassign employees to maximize production efficiency, quality, and output goals.
  • Communicate production expectations, priorities, and performance feedback to assigned employees.
  • Identify production, material, or workflow issues and coordinate with support teams to resolve schedule impacts.
  • Monitor work-in-process and finished goods to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Participate in establishing, evaluating, and improving operational methods and manufacturing processes.
  • Recommend changes to materials, equipment, tools, and procedures to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate production reports, performance metrics, schedules, and operational documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support training, coaching, and development of employees to strengthen team performance.
  • Promote teamwork and clear communication across shifts and departments.
  • Keep production running smoothly with additional team tasks or operational support as needed.
