About The Position

The Supervisor Test Automation oversees the daily activities of manufacturing electronic technicians who operate, maintain and support the automated test systems on the production floor. Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by supervising and supporting electronic technicians in the manufacturing automation team, assigning daily work, managing schedules and ensuring appropriate staffing coverage. You will also document test procedures for new and existing test equipment (jigs) to ensure proper use by production, and ensure automated test systems are operated correctly and consistently. Monitoring test execution, yields and failure trends, and escalating as needed are key responsibilities. You will respond to and coordinate troubleshooting of test-related production issues to minimize downtime both in-house and at Contract Manufacturers. Partnering with Manufacturing Engineering or Test Engineering to support test system maintenance, calibration and updates, and building duplicate test jigs to support production capacity are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4-7 years of experience in a manufacturing test environment.
  • 2+ years of experience supervising or leading technicians in a production setting.
  • Hands-on familiarity with automated test equipment and manufacturing operations.
