About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating plant maintenance and leading and directing maintenance technicians. The supervisor fosters a well-trained and motivated staff and assists the Maintenance Manager in directing and coordinating maintenance policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and clean environment. The role oversees preventative maintenance and equipment repairs and quickly assesses problems to minimize production downtime. The supervisor must understand SQF Quality Management policies and procedures and GMP practices to ensure maintenance employees understand and follow company policies and procedures. The position is slated for candidates currently working at the Dakota City facility, who receive priority consideration. If local Team Members are not selected, candidates from other locations and external candidates may be reviewed. A resume is required for consideration. Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience.
Associate degree or college program certificate; or 5 or more years of related experience and training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Ability and experience leading, directing, evaluating, and training maintenance technicians.
Ability to measure, monitor, and reduce machine downtime.
Ability to diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) problems and direct or assist with repairs.
Ability to promote a 'Safety First' culture and develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program.
Knowledge of SQF Quality Management policies and procedures and GMP practices.
Clear spoken communication and listening comprehension; ability to express ideas and concepts clearly in writing and understand written information.
Basic PLC experience.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Some weekend work is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience directing, evaluating, and training maintenance technicians is preferred.
SAP experience is a plus.
