Click on the link below to learn what our employees have to say about Evonik: https ://careers.evonik.com/en/about/meet-the-team/ The Supervisor Maintenance Planner & Scheduler (CAD) is responsible for planning mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and shutdown work at the CAD facility and shutdown work at the KA facility in Calvert City. The role provides tactical and strategic direction to the technical workforce, supports Maintenance Supervisors as needed, and ensures effective resource allocation, maintenance planning, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree or continuing education in mechanical maintenance or related field preferred
  • 10 years as a maintenance technician
  • 5+ years as a maintenance planner, supervisor, or front-line supervisor preferred
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of piping, rigging, bearing replacement, lubrication, pump/motor alignment, O-ring selection, mechanical seal assembly
  • Ability to manage priorities and perform supervisory duties
  • On-call, after-hours, and weekend coverage capability
  • Proficient with SAP and general computer troubleshooting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and RC 14001 standards

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage the site-wide automated Maintenance Analysis system (SAP).
  • Analyze, allocate, and coordinate plant-wide repair and maintenance work; manage workload and manpower distribution; coach technicians on routine and preventive maintenance.
  • Plan, control, and evaluate unit/plant-wide shutdowns; coordinate with Production Managers, Supervisors, and Engineers; apply lessons learned for future shutdowns.
  • Develop daily and weekly maintenance schedules in coordination with CAD/KA Supervisors and Plant Engineers; support planning, budgets, and maintenance efficiency initiatives.
  • Serve as substitute for Maintenance Supervisors as required.
  • Communicate with external contractors and companies regarding equipment, standards, and utilization; provide feedback to internal groups to support continuous improvement.
  • Identify areas for technical and process improvement; implement preventative maintenance programs; manage equipment and spare parts creation, including BOMs.
  • Develop and train technical workforce; apply ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and RC 14001 standards in maintenance practices.
