About The Position

The Supervisor - Maintenance Manufacturing plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This position is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities that minimize downtime and maximize production output. The supervisor will coordinate maintenance schedules, manage resources, and implement safety and quality standards to support manufacturing goals. They will also analyze equipment performance data to identify improvement opportunities and drive maintenance best practices. Ultimately, this role ensures that all manufacturing assets are maintained to the highest standards, supporting overall operational excellence and business continuity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience managing maintenance personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
  • Certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) or similar.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, automation systems, and advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead safety programs and foster a culture of safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians to ensure timely and effective maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and production interruptions.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to minimize downtime and optimize manufacturing throughput.
  • Manage maintenance work orders, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources efficiently to meet operational demands.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards during all maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement long-term solutions.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, prepare reports on equipment status, and recommend capital improvements.
  • Train and develop maintenance staff on technical skills, safety procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
