About The Position

This role is responsible for assigning labor to tasks, ensuring efficient crewing and meeting contractual requirements. The Supervisor, Logistics will oversee the shipping and receiving of components, ensuring adherence to process and quality specifications, and aiming to exceed budget rates for shipping results. A key aspect of the role involves maintaining a deep understanding of processes and equipment to optimize efficiency and training shift employees on necessary procedures for efficient task accomplishment. The position also includes responsibilities for conducting monthly safety meetings, enforcing safety rules, administering the labor contract and plant rules, and handling discipline. Continuous improvement of processes, equipment, and procedures is expected, along with encouraging employees to contribute to process enhancements. The role requires understanding and enforcing safe handling procedures for hazardous materials and instructing subordinates accordingly. All applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies, and procedures must be followed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent level of education/experience
  • Experience and demonstrated success in a leadership position requiring accomplishment of standards or goals through subordinates.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Assign labor force to appropriate tasks in line with efficient crewing needs and contractual requirements.
  • Insure that all process and quality specifications are followed in the shipping/receiving of scheduled components.
  • Monitor shipping results and insure that budget rates are exceeded.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of process and equipment in order to achieve optimum efficiency.
  • Insure that all shift employees are adequately trained in the necessary process procedures to accomplish assignments efficiently.
  • Hold or participate monthly safety meetings with shift employees to communicate the importance of safe work practices. Monitor and enforce all safety rules.
  • Administer labor contract, plant rules and handle appropriate discipline.
  • Continuously strive to improve process, process equipment and procedures.
  • Encourage shift employees to improve processes.
  • Understand and enforce all procedures related to safe handling of hazardous materials and instruct subordinates in same.
  • Trained on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies, and procedures.
