Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
  • 8+ years of experience in warehouse function.
  • 4+ years of experience in warehouse leadership role.
  • 3+ years of experience with Import and Export compliance.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems.
  • 3+ years of International Shipping experience (Incoterms, VAT/Duty, required documents).
  • This role may require 10%, domestically.
  • Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
  • Experience with UPS World Ease.
  • Customs Broker License.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement with emphasis on waste reduction techniques using the Six Sigma tools of 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, lead time reduction, SMED, and visual control management.

Responsibilities

  • Be the CPC on-site expert for Import and Export documentation.
  • Support the preparation the monthly Value Added Tax (VAT) reporting for the European Union.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Freight Forwarders used by CPC for international Import and Export transactions & shipments.
  • Attend quarterly business reviews with Freight Forwarders and Carriers to provide analysis of compliance, and risk mitigation, and seek out opportunities to gain better service or productivity for CPC.
  • Provide training to CPC personnel engaged in the shipment or product, coordination of product shipments, or any related tasks to ensure import & export compliance.
  • Develop and Implement projects that decrease CPC compliance risk.
  • Serve as CPC’s expert in the use of Freightview, the current Dover-sponsored Transportation Management System (TMS) platform.
  • Primary point of contact for CPC’s Supply Chain team on Logistics needs (freight movement, transportation needs, etc.)
  • Develop and Implement projects that increase productivity related to the transportation and shipment of CPC products.
  • Manage the local CPC transport route setup.
  • Responsible for the routing of all non-customer CPC shipments.
  • Track performance while employing problem-solving methodology, to determine root cause and develop countermeasures for misses to targets.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem-solving and decision-making and recognizing employees for exceptional work.
  • Ensure that standard work and processes are followed, meeting quality standards.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business code of conduct and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Conduct reviews with team members to build effective communications, understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for performance improvement.
  • Develop and facilitate comprehensive onboarding and new hire training for assigned team.
  • Build team unity to encourage retention and continuity of operations.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor the team to meet current and future business needs.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.
