About The Position

The Logistics Loading Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily outbound loading operations to ensure shipments are completed safely, accurately, and on time. This role leads a team of loading associates, coordinates with production, transportation, and planning teams, and drives efficiency, quality, and safety within the shipping function.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
3–5+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or shipping operations
Strong understanding of shipping processes, inventory control, and material handling

Nice To Haves

associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
1–3 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
Experience in a manufacturing or high-volume distribution environment strongly preferred
Experience with SAP, Oracle, or WMS systems
Lean / Six Sigma exposure

Responsibilities

Oversee all loading activities to ensure timely and accurate shipment of finished goods
Monitor workload, staffing, and dock schedules to meet shipping deadlines
Coordinate priorities with production, planning, and logistics teams
Lead, coach, and develop a team of hourly logistics/loading associates
Provide clear direction, training, and performance feedback
Support attendance management, productivity tracking, and engagement initiatives
Enforce all safety policies and procedures (OSHA, company standards)
Conduct routine safety audits and address hazards promptly
Ensure proper material handling, loading techniques, and equipment usage
Ensure shipments are loaded correctly and match shipping documentation
Investigate and resolve discrepancies, damages, or shipment errors
Maintain inventory integrity during the loading process
Identify opportunities to improve loading efficiency and reduce delays
Support continuous improvement initiatives (lean, 5S, standard work)
Track KPIs such as on-time shipping, accuracy, and productivity
Partner with transportation carriers, warehouse teams, and production
Communicate delays, issues, and priorities proactively
Ensure alignment between shipping schedules and customer requirements
