About The Position

Supports the Mission of Palmetto Goodwill – Supervising all Food Service Workers to include individuals with disabilities so they can fulfill their full potential through the power and dignity of work. This role involves training employees, maintaining high levels of cleanliness and sanitation, and ensuring the safe operation of various equipment. The supervisor is responsible for planning work assignments, managing employee schedules for maximum productivity, and performing daily inspections to report on productivity and safety. Compliance with all agency policies, procedures, and safety standards, including those set by CARF, Department of Labor, and other regulatory bodies, is essential. The position also includes assisting the Project Manager with reports and records, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Supervise employees and manage the project in a cost-effective manner by establishing and applying sound supervisory policies pertaining to the organization, customer relations and workflow.
  • Responsible for training, management and supervision of all Food Service Workers assigned at the contract site.
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Must work weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising all Food Service Workers, including individuals with disabilities.
  • Training employees to properly perform duties.
  • Maintaining high levels of cleanliness and sanitation during all four meal services.
  • Thoroughly cleaning facility, equipment, and cookware in accordance with Statement of Work and Military cleaning guidelines at the end of the meal.
  • Safely operating various types of equipment.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized workspace, including floors, storage areas, and customer service areas.
  • Providing input to Project Manager on employee schedules to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Planning work assignments to ensure daily and weekly production goals are met.
  • Performing daily inspections and reporting on the productivity and safety of the operation.
  • Complying with all agency policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Maintaining work areas, equipment, kitchen utensils, and cookware in a clean and sanitary condition under the supervision of the Project Manager.
  • Assisting Project Manager with creating and maintaining reports and records as required.
  • Performing other duties/tasks as assigned.
