About The Position

To manage the overall functions and staff of the Outreach Area and facilitate maximum customer satisfaction through initiation and/or response to all client inquiries via telephone, fax, and/or computer, regarding test status, results, submission requirements, or other areas of the testing or service process.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of work in a medical or customer service environment required.
Experience in Courier scheduling/coordinating.
Computer literacy and knowledge of laboratory terminology required.
Effective interaction and communication skills (oral, writing, presenting) to interact and communicate with patients, family members, physicians, office staff, vendors, and co-workers during day-to-day, stressful, and emotionally charged situations.
Ability to use effective analytical and critical thinking skills to problem-solve, make effective decisions, and respond quickly to meet patient and departmental needs.
Ability to function competently, demonstrate clinical expertise, and exercise sound professional judgment.
Ability to manage a changing work environment as a result of changing customer needs.
Ability to use effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations.
Ability to work independently and cooperatively with health care team members and diverse patient populations.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree in medical technology or biological science preferred
ASCP certification preferred.
