About The Position

This role is a People Leader position at the ECM Level, requiring a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience. The Supervisor IT will partner with Regional and Global Leadership teams to ensure the IT Strategy aligns with operational business strategies. This role involves consolidating, analyzing, and documenting IT requirements, consulting with leadership on project plans and funding, and serving as the single point of contact for IT status reporting and issue escalation within the region. The Supervisor IT will also leverage IT economies of scale, drive cost optimization, and define IT requirements for new facilities and program launches, including the creation of IT Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs). Additionally, this role will provide leadership and direction to plant IT staff, ensuring adherence to standard technologies, policies, security, and Business Operating System (BOS) processes. Requirements

  • 5-9 Minimum Years of Experience with one or more of the following: IT, Extensive implementation experience in It Project Management, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management, including; ERP, Resource Scheduling, Preventative Maintenance Management, Warehouse Management, Quality Management, and MES.
  • 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
  • Proven project management experience in the implementation of complex, integrated, global business applications in a discrete/repetitive manufacturing environment.
  • Experience delivering projects in a manufacturing environment and comfortable in an international setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgetary management.
  • Experience with IT lifestyle methodologies.
  • English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Regional and Global Leadership teams to ensure the IT Strategy supports and is in alignment with the regional/global operational business strategy.
  • Consolidate, analyze, prioritize (based on business returns), understand and document Regional and Plant IT requirements and gaps in pursuit of solutions.
  • Consult with Leadership team to review project plans and to obtain project approval & funding.
  • Single point of contact with Regional Operations Directors and their team for IT status reporting, demand management, project tracking and issues escalation.
  • Leverage IT economies of scale across the region; delivers IT best practices and aggressively drives cost optimization efforts.
  • Define and is responsible for the IT timing, requirements, and costs related to new start-up facilities and program launches: responsible for the creation of IT Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR's) and subsequent approvals for funding, and positions to rationalize resources and capital.
  • Participate with regional and global IT leadership in developing, communicating and implementing strategies for IT support services at the regional operations and plant levels.
  • Provide leadership and direction to plant management regarding plant IT staff in defining IT position responsibilities, recruitment, staff development, career planning, compensation definition, training, and performance appraisals.
  • Lead and mentor Plant IT Staff to successful support of plant operations measured by timeliness, budget performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure and document adherence to standard technologies, policies, security, and Business Operating System (BOS) processes throughout the Business Unit.
  • Understand, apply and meet all function-related BOS requirements.

  • Understand, apply and meet all function-related Product Safety requirements.
