A leading national kidney care provider known for patient-centric care is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead a high-volume clinical testing laboratory. This supervisor will guide a team of technologists and support staff while keeping quality, accuracy, and turnaround on target. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related science
- Active Florida Clinical Laboratory license at the supervisor level
- Several years of clinical laboratory experience with lead or supervisory duties
- Working knowledge of CLIA and CAP quality and regulatory requirements
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work onsite and support shift coverage as needed
Nice To Haves
- ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist
- Experience in a high-volume reference or specialty laboratory
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems and automation lines
- Prior experience leading inspection readiness efforts
- Lean or continuous improvement training
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily laboratory operations, staffing, and workflow across assigned shifts
- Ensure accurate, timely test results and adherence to quality control procedures
- Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state laboratory regulatory standards
- Train, schedule, and evaluate technologists and laboratory support staff
- Investigate testing errors and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Oversee instrument maintenance, validation, and inventory of supplies and reagents
- Prepare the laboratory for inspections and internal quality audits
