About The Position

This position is responsible for overseeing facilities maintenance operations, including task delegation, partnership collaboration, negotiation, communication, data analysis, operational excellence, schematics and technical drawings, electrical systems and controls, custodial activities, and vendor management. The role requires a strong understanding of maintenance processes, safety regulations, and team leadership to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment. The Supervisor will also be involved in developing and mentoring team members, managing workloads, and contributing to the overall operational goals of the department.

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience in a Walmart maintenance technician position OR 1 year's experience in industrial maintenance (for example, welding, refrigeration, electrical, electronics), including six months leading a work or project team.
  • 2 years’ experience performing Industrial Warehouse or manufacturing maintenance activities (for example, preventative maintenance, material handling equipment, power equipment, facilities upkeep).

Responsibilities

  • Communicate the definitions and impacts of successful completion of delegated tasks.

  • Prepare sketches and blueprints for wiring and equipment.
  • Perform routine changes to computerized schematics or drawings.
  • Coach others on the interpretations of blueprints.
  • Review drawings and specifications to ensure that detailed requirements are addressed.
  • Demonstrate expertise in wiring schematics to drive innovation in electrical systems and compliance.
  • Adhere to electrical safety practices to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and lighting.
  • Maintain and repair electrical heating and ventilation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot control circuits.
  • Oversee and carry out all activities and tasks associated with electrician services.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety codes.
  • Coach others on advanced custodial methods and techniques.
  • Oversee custodial quality and investigate reports of substandard quality.
  • Assess inventory levels and functioning of all custodial machinery, equipment, and materials.
  • Coordinate corresponding purchases or maintenance.
  • Evaluate and optimize cleaning and sterilization procedures.
  • Mitigate identified cleanliness issues and implement corrective action.
  • Monitor all custodial activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory agency codes.
  • Act as the routine contact point between the organization and vendors.
  • Resolve routine supplier issues and escalate non-routine issues.
  • Research alternative vendors or suppliers.
  • Provide feedback on supplier options and selection.
  • Follow company procedures in carrying out routine supplier management tasks.
  • Work with vendors to ensure that purchases meet delivery dates and quality specifications.
