About The Position

The Staff Pharmacist (Hourly), Central Fill - Health and Wellness Non-Store Operations, plays a critical role in overseeing medication inventory management and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. This position verifies prescription accuracy and maintains high-quality standards in medication dispensation. The role requires adaptability to evolving production demands, ongoing professional licensure maintenance, and collaboration with management to support business initiatives. Commitment to integrity, continuous improvement, and customer-focused service is essential to successfully meet organizational and patient care objectives. The Central Fill Pharmacy team is at the forefront of automation and efficiency, processing prescriptions for multiple retail locations. Our purpose is to streamline backend operations, allowing retail pharmacies to dedicate more time to patient care. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be pivotal in maintaining high operational standards and ensuring seamless pharmacy services.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Pharmacist (RPh) licensure with ability to obtain and renew multiple state permits and registrations as required.
  • Proven experience managing medication inventory, including stock rotation, cycle counts, recalls, and expired medication processing.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Ability to direct and mentor pharmacy associates while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality in prescription verification.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to changing production demands and commitment to continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency (National Association of Boards of Pharmacy).
  • Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in state of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual verification of prescriptions for clinical and legal accuracy and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Adapt to changing production demands while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Obtain and renew required pharmacist permits, registrations, and licenses timely.
  • Provide expertise to develop and improve action plans supporting business and customer needs.
  • Build relationships with associates and management to implement business initiatives and identify improvement opportunities.
