About The Position

The Supervisor of Facilities is responsible for the oversight of the engineering maintenance and general building repair. This includes reviewing appropriateness of work orders, overseeing daily work order assignments, ensuring proper stocking of supplies and equipment and follow up as required with customers and staff. This position works with the Maintenance Mechanic Lead and Manager Corporate Facilities to schedule staffing for a 24/7 department. The Supervisor of Facilities is familiar with and responsible for immediate needs of departments for all facility maintenance, building repair, paint and lock shop requirements. Equipment supported would include but not be limited to: plumbing, medical gas systems, elevators, food service equipment operations, bed shop repairs, nurse call, facility damages and preventative maintenance outlined in the CMMS. Supervisor takes a leadership role in process improvement processes, manages small projects and covers shifts and does work order and preventative maintenance work as needed. May be required to pick up shifts outside of their standard assignment for coverage due to vacations, holidays, staff shortages, or other special circumstances as determined by leadership.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Trade, technical or military training in facility maintenance or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in facility maintenance preferably within an acute healthcare environment.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Basic working knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Software.
Current CA driver’s license required for local travel.

Nice To Haves

One (1) year supervisory experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system.
Small project management skills- ability to create analyses, timelines, task lists.
Knowledge of energy or building management systems.
Knowledge of work order systems.
Knowledge of Joint Commission/ DNV, Dept of Health.
Knowledge of city and state building, life safety and fire codes.
Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities
