About The Position

The Supervisor, Facilities Engineering is responsible for overseeing facilities and engineering operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment to ensure regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and cost-effective execution of projects and maintenance activities. This role provides leadership and technical guidance to engineering staff while ensuring the proper functioning, qualification, and maintenance of facility systems, utilities, and equipment in accordance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering (Mechanical, electrical, facilities, or related field)
4 years or more in Engineering in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
2 years or more in Supervisory level or lead experience

Responsibilities

Oversee engineering and facilities programs to ensure the compliant, safe, and reliable operation of machinery, equipment, and utilities.
Manage validation activities, preventive maintenance (PM), building management systems (BMS), environmental controls, fire system maintenance, and building permit management.
Develop, implement, and train engineering SOPs.
Plan and supervise workloads for direct reports.
Oversee facilities management services, including building systems operations, maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects.
Review and evaluate operational procedures and personnel practices.
Establish and implement enhanced processes to support efficient, compliant, and cost-effective operations.
Provide direct supervision and leadership to Project Engineers, Validation Engineers, and Junior Mechanics, including performance management, coaching, and development.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Coordinate preparation and management of the engineering and facilities budget; monitor expenditures; analyze staffing requirements.
Oversee maintenance contracts, service agreements, and construction activities related to facility modifications and repairs.
Review, evaluate, and continuously improve operating procedures and practices to enhance compliance, efficiency, and reliability of facilities and engineering operations.
