About The Position

The purpose of this position is to supervise all Fabrication operational personnel. Manage best utilization of labor to meet defined performance targets, quality standards, and business service policies assuring customer ship date commitments. Collaborate with Facility Operations Manager to evaluate Fabrication business conditions, special processing request, and relative service request that supports business growth within the serviced region.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 4–6 years of experience in fabrication or shipping/receiving operations required
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required
  • Valid forklift certification required, with the ability to safely operate equipment
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and electronic scanning devices
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert fractions
  • Ability to read and interpret measurements, including the use of a tape measure
  • Experience using hand tools, machinery, and related equipment in an industrial setting
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Knowledge of welding processes
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to distinguish between product profiles and finishes
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
  • Quality-driven mindset with a focus on accuracy and operational excellence

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Technical Degree in a manufacturing or industrial-related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to perform all job functions of all fabrication and positions.
  • Develop facility capability to fabricate standard & custom hardware applications.
  • Coordinates incoming and outgoing fabricated orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and special hardware requirements with the Facility Take-Off Technician.
  • Review fabrication schedule & resources with Lead Fabricator Daily
  • Communicate and release fabrication shop packets to lead fabricator to execute on timely basis.
  • Communicate daily status and confirm completion dates to provide coordination with Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor.
  • Process orders for special/custom hardware.
  • Audit quality of work performed to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Directs work force and administer compliance of policies, procedures, and work standards.
  • Interprets specifications, templates, and job orders for workforce.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules and productivity goals.
  • Supervise inventory control factors for accuracy/cycle targeted requirement levels.
  • Achieving and maintaining housekeeping standards in plant, conducive to a safe & orderly work environment.
  • Maintains compliance with all company safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintains equipment conditions to levels required for process efficiency & safety.
