About The Position

This role involves orienting and training employees, assisting in regulatory compliance, ordering supplies, and evaluating new equipment. The position aims to improve housekeeping performance and patient satisfaction scores (HCAHPS). The Supervisor will use independent judgment to assign work, direct workflow, resolve employee concerns, and conduct performance appraisals. They will foster a culture of patient satisfaction, participate in performance improvement activities, and demonstrate competence in Evidenced Based Leadership practices.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum two (2) year experience in commercial or institutional environmental services.

Responsibilities

Assigns work to employees and directs the workflow in area of jurisdiction.
Attempts to resolve employee complaints/concerns.
Conducts periodic performance appraisal interviews with subordinates.
Creates and sustains a culture of patient satisfaction throughout the hospital.
Orients and trains employees in area.
Assists in assuring compliance with all regulatory and other agency requirements, laws and statutes pertaining to the operation of the department.
Orders supplies and may assist in the evaluation of new equipment for the area.
Facilitates and/or participates in performance improvement activities.
Performs other related duties as required and directed.
Demonstrates understanding and competence in all areas of Evidenced Based Leadership including: leader rounding, thank you notes, stoplight reports, 30/90 day conversations, leadership development institutes, linkage grids, skills validation, AIDET, hourly rounding, and High-Middle-Low conversations.
Works designated areas as required.
