About The Position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is hiring a Full-time Supervisor, Environmental Services. The Environmental Services Team Coordinator assists the manager in planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating and controlling the department functions necessary to maintain a clean and safe working environment. This role involves participating in work activities of assigned teams by providing assistance, serving as a technical resource, and participating in the work as a team member. The position contributes to departmental success through effective work coordination, resource management, and goal accomplishment. The supervisor will support and communicate Sentara's mission, values, goals, and directions to team members.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • 1 Year Supervisory Experience (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Some College (Preferred)
  • 2 Years Supervisory Experience (Preferred)
  • Environmental/Service Associate/Hospitality Experience (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office Skills (Preferred)
  • CHEST certification required for all existing staff by 7/31/2019. New employees hired after 8/1/2016 required to have CHEST within 2 years of hire.
