The Supervisor Electronics role involves comprehensive management of electronics technician staff, ensuring strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines. Key responsibilities include meticulous pre-job preparation, such as reviewing equipment needs with Service Superintendents, scheduling necessary equipment, and communicating job details across various departments including product service line managers, coordinators, service supervisors, and the sales team. This position also entails managing service settings, providing job requirement information, and preparing the Electronics Department for upcoming jobs, including pre-mobilization and unit testing. During job execution, the supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe working practices of electronic department employees in adherence to Company and client HSE guidelines. Financial oversight includes managing costs and expenditures for the Electronics Department within the assigned district. The role requires building and maintaining positive relationships with company representatives, auditing job packets, and conducting post-job reviews to identify and implement HSE and Service Delivery improvements. The supervisor is accountable for guaranteeing customer satisfaction, planning and performing necessary calculations, providing service instructions to staff, and maintaining accountability of all electronic equipment through file registration. Furthermore, the position involves promoting and leading service quality and HSE efforts, ensuring the repair, preventative maintenance, and cleanliness of service equipment, and evaluating the performance levels of the Electronics Department. Training supervisors and electronics technicians, conducting root cause analysis for job problems, and investigating accidents are also critical functions. Occasional basic tasks in the office and facility yard areas may be required. The supervisor is expected to continually emphasize safety, participate in or lead safety meetings, conduct hazard hunts, ensure Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) are followed, and comply with all laws and regulations. They must know, follow, and periodically review job policies and procedures, report and mitigate unsafe acts or conditions, and follow supervisory instructions. Understanding and working towards district goals, continuous improvement of district operations, managing and coordinating all activities within the electronics department and applicable support functions, and possessing knowledge of company purchasing processes are essential. The supervisor takes an active role in assigning mentors to entry and lower-level electronics technicians during repairs and ensures all assigned staff participate in company or customer-provided training. Finally, the role includes performing other duties as required by the immediate supervisor, adhering to company policies, and conducting an annual review and update of the Position Definition.
