About The Position

Eversource is seeking a Supervisor to lead efforts in the construction, operation, maintenance, and emergency restoration of electric distribution and transmission systems. This role involves ensuring safe, timely, and efficient work completion, fostering a strong safety culture, and motivating employees to provide excellent customer service. The position is crucial for enhancing New England’s energy delivery system and supporting a clean energy future.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of methods, work practices, and procedures for the safe construction, operation, and maintenance of electric T&D facilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must maintain switching and tagging qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of computers and related technology, with the ability to learn and utilize information technologies.
  • Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word & Excel).
  • Five to ten years of related experience.
  • Valid Motor Vehicle License required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in electric distribution is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role is also preferred.
  • D.O.T. Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the safe execution of field activities and setting safety expectations with employees.
  • Resolves safety issues and concerns in an appropriate and timely manner, promoting continuous learning of safe work methods.
  • Makes decisions and prioritizes work to ensure the safe and appropriate use of assigned resources.
  • Sets clear expectations, provides ongoing feedback, and conducts performance reviews for employees.
  • Responsible for the proper application of local union contracts and agreements, and resolving grievances.
  • Participates in pre-construction reviews and coordinates work with other utilities, departments, and contractors.
  • Ensures work is completed within budgetary guidelines and approves time, expense, and material records.
  • Demonstrates a customer-first attitude and collaborates to resolve customer issues.
  • Fulfills storm duty assignments and participates in on-call rotation as required.
