About The Position

Eversource is seeking a Supervisor to provide leadership for the safe, timely, and efficient completion of work related to the construction, operation, maintenance, and emergency restoration of electric distribution and transmission systems. This role ensures effective coordination among individuals and departments, actively promotes a safety-first work environment, and engages employees to deliver excellent customer experiences. The company is making significant investments in its electric transmission and distribution system to support clean energy integration and is looking for talented individuals to enhance New England’s energy delivery system.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of methods, work practices, and procedures for the safe construction, operation, and maintenance of electric T&D facilities and infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must maintain switching and tagging qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of computers and related technology, with the ability to learn and utilize information technologies.
  • Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word & Excel).
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience required.
  • Five to ten years of related experience required.
  • Valid Motor Vehicle License required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in electric distribution is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role is also preferred.
  • D.O.T. Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the safe execution of field activities, setting safety expectations, and resolving safety issues.
  • Communicates safety lessons learned and promotes continuous learning of safe work methods.
  • Makes decisions and prioritizes work for the safe and appropriate use of resources.
  • Sets clear expectations, provides ongoing feedback, and conducts performance reviews.
  • Responsible for the proper application of local union contracts and agreements, and resolving grievances.
  • Participates in pre-construction reviews and coordinates work with other utilities, departments, and contractors.
  • Ensures work is completed within budgetary guidelines.
  • Prepares, reviews, and approves time, expense, materials, and other company records accurately.
  • Demonstrates a customer-first attitude and resolves customer issues by collaborating with employees and departments.
  • Fulfills storm duty assignments and participates in on-call rotation as required.
