About The Position

RSM is seeking a Business Intelligence and Data Engineering professional with a strong background in design and development, data modeling, and business analytics. The role works closely with the Data Analytics team to build data models, ETL pipelines, semantic models, reports, and dashboards that support business objectives. The person in this role will facilitate requirements sessions, perform data analysis, and collaborate with clients and colleagues across regions. Willingness and ability to travel as needed is required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Analytics.
At least 5 years of experience designing data models across multiple subject areas and business domains.
At least 5 years of experience designing and developing business intelligence solutions.
At least 5 years of experience designing and developing scalable, efficient data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data lakes and data warehouses.
Proficiency in SQL.
Experience with Python or Scala.
Experience with major cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience with data platforms such as Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake.
Experience with GIT, DevOps, CI/CD, and version control.
Experience with BI visualization tools such as Power BI, Quick Sight, or Tableau.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently and in virtual teams.
Passion for solving complex business problems through data-driven solutions.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience conducting solution or technical assessments.
Experience with DBT, Spark, and Big Data technologies.
Knowledge of Databricks.
Working knowledge of modernized information management tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Talend, Alation, or Purview.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain dimensional and 3NF data models aligned with business requirements.
Design and develop ETL pipelines that consolidate data from source systems into a unified data platform.
Define source-to-target mappings, business rules, and required data transformations.
Develop semantic models, reports, and dashboards based on business requirements.
Facilitate business requirements sessions and conduct data analysis to identify and specify data needed to support business objectives.
Collaborate with clients and team members across regions.
