Data Architect

T-Rex Solutions•Suitland, MD
•$150,000 - $195,000

About The Position

T-Rex Solutions is seeking a Data Architect to support the 2028 Census Test, an end-to-end dry run of operations in preparation for the 2030 Decennial Census. The program will verify and refine enterprise processes and data systems. The solution is a data-centric system centered on a data lake using Amazon Redshift on AWS. It is intended to shift processing from a historical batch approach to incremental processing of individual responses as they are collected, while increasing the use of administrative data. Data structures must support flexible addition and use of administrative data, incremental processing, and large-scale statistical analysis. The Data Architect will design and develop the Census Enterprise Data Lake architecture for 2030 Census processing, spanning hundreds of millions of person records, millions of address records, and associated administrative data. The role works closely with client teams, system owners, other contractors, statistical organizations, and the Census Bureau data architect to define and align data structures, models, and architecture with business needs and the Enterprise Master Data Model. The position also provides technical and management leadership, develops strategy and roadmaps, and supports software development and system design activities. T-Rex Solutions provides data-centric mission services to the Federal government, including cloud and infrastructure services, cybersecurity, and big data engineering. The company describes a diverse and collaborative work environment and offers opportunities for professional growth. The listed annual base salary range is $150,000–$195,000.
