Requirements
- Associate’s Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge in the care and use of power equipment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing of routine maintenance operations.
- Trains and supervises the custodial staff to maintain an orderly, safe, and efficient cleaning operation.
- Supervises two or more full-time employees; Makes decisions regarding hiring, evaluation, promotion and termination of employees, or makes related recommendations.
- Schedules work to meet normal requirement without interfering with residents or occupants of office space.
- Directs workers performing cleaning tasks.
- Develops and participates in a training program which familiarizes custodial staff with particular problems involved in custodial services including improved techniques.
- Inspects buildings, rooms, storage space, hallways, fixtures and custodial equipment to observe the results of work.
- Requisitions appropriate materials and supplies.
- Prepares and submits appropriate reports and memoranda regarding custodial policies and procedures.
- Recommends budget, materials and equipment for the area.
