Reporting to the Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising work-related opportunities for people who have different abilities to work with integrated teams and receive work support and development as needed—achieving the highest level of independence possible.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of 2 years of janitorial experience
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or training role
  • Solid oral and written communication skills required
  • Basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
  • Must pass criminal background check.
  • Must pass various State and Federal registry checks.
  • Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria.
  • Must maintain valid driver’s license and be 21 or older to drive.
  • Company travel using personally insured vehicle may be required. (based on site)

Responsibilities

  • Supervises employees and clients in the performance of janitorial cleaning duties at the assigned site; may be assigned to assist crew with completing required tasks.
  • Acts as a back-up/alternate point of contact with site contract management.
  • Provides training, support, and on-going feedback to all workers on job duties, proper procedures, and areas for improvement, with a special focus on safety and company culture.
  • Completes monthly/quarterly assessments and performance evaluations for the department.
  • Schedules, trains, disciplines, and/or processes timekeeping for workers.
  • Ensures work and safety procedures are followed with a special focus on Company culture.
  • Ensures quality and customer satisfaction at the site.
  • Ensures work is performed in accordance with the contract’s statement of work and in compliance with Company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, customer requirements, and quality and safety standards.
  • Provides a safe environment for all workers and customers.
  • Follows and enforces OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations.
  • Completes incident and/or accident reports in accordance with Company policies.
  • Takes preventative and corrective action as needed.
  • Conducts safety training, inspections, and ensures workers utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Develops, modifies, and completes contract paperwork as needed and/or required.
  • Supports PM (Project Manager) in all needed tasks.
  • Observes and/or assists crew in completing contract required tasks.
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks bathrooms including sweep & mop floors, sinks, toilets, glass & mirrors, stall walls, stainless steel.
  • Vacuums, sweeps, mops floors and stairs.
  • Empties all trash cans and replaces liners, cleans receptacles, as necessary.
  • Maintains and organizes chemical and equipment storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks common areas and break rooms including sinks, countertops, microwaves, coffee makers, and refrigerators in break rooms.
  • Dusts and cleans office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
  • Cleans windowsills and windows.
  • Maintains quality standards.
  • Completes regular inspections.
  • Promptly corrects any deficiencies and rectifies any customer complaints.
  • Transports crew to and from cleaning locations as needed.
  • Relays pertinent information to workers and PM about any updates or changes to the contract in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Meets the needs of clients and staff while fulfilling contract obligations.
  • Applies techniques for working with individuals with disabilities in the workplace.
  • Supports crew members by providing timely and thorough training and feedback.
  • Oversees new worker training and ongoing training for all members of the crew.
  • Works with a team to help them develop job skills and work/behavior skills which may help them achieve the highest level of independence possible.
  • Completes monthly/quarterly client assessments.
  • Supervises all site positions, ensuring work is performed according to the contract’s statement of work, company policies, and procedures.
  • Communicates client, employee and customer issues to Project Manager and makes recommendations for correction and/or discipline.
  • Encourages effective outcomes and accountability.
  • Communicates job expectations; motivates, coaches, and counsels employees.
  • Builds an effective company culture that embodies Company values to achieve optimum performance levels and achieve goals and objectives.
