About The Position

The Supervisor of Crisis Admissions provides operational leadership and oversight for the crisis admissions process, ensuring individuals presenting for behavioral health and substance use services receive timely, appropriate, compassionate, and clinically coordinated access to care. This position supervises the daily operations of the Crisis Admissions team, ensuring accurate assessments, timely referrals, appropriate placement, regulatory compliance, effective communication, and efficient coordination between admissions, clinical, nursing, medical, residential, outpatient, and community-based services. The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an admissions process that supports patient safety, regulatory requirements, organizational standards, documentation accuracy, and continuity of care. The Supervisor is responsible for leadership, crisis management, communication, regulatory and compliance, operational management, customer service and problem solving.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Health & Human Services, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory experience in behavioral health, crisis services, admissions, intake, or healthcare operations.
  • Experience working in a behavioral health or substance use treatment environment.
  • Knowledge of crisis assessment, admissions, referral coordination, and levels of care.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced crisis environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities as required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Clinical knowledge and crisis intervention expertise.

  • Cultural competence and empathy.
