As a member of the Seniors Community Programs team, the incumbent is responsible to the Manager for day-to-day coordination of outreach and engagement initiatives associated with the Seniors Active Living Centre and Outreach (SALCO) portfolio. This role is designed to build community capacity within the WoodGreen seniors’ community by developing the leadership, networking and organizing skills of seniors through supportive training, coaching and facilitation. The role will support the development of sustainable community-based, seniors-focused programming that is designed to promote wellness with focus on community engagement, seniors’ safety and outreach to vulnerable seniors. Programs/projects within the outreach team include friendly visiting/ medical escorts, ESIG grant program, food security initiatives and ongoing outreach and partnerships within the Seniors Community Programs portfolio.
