Reporting to the Energy Superintendent and working in a collaborative community, within the Steam Plant Cogen department, you will be: Producing without harm to the environment, ensuring the industrial hygiene conditions of the area (air, noise, dust) as well as obtaining and maintain appropriate certifications. Responsible for projects to maximize value and meet target under responsibility. Is accountable for capital expenditure and operational expenditure under responsibility Assumes all responsibilities and accountabilities related to the management of operational and technical teams Ensures all operations comply with Federal and State of California CFR Boiler Operation. Responsible for the operation of the Natural Gas pipelines and compliance with the Natural Gas Supplier contract. Responsible for the procurement of water from AVEK and operation and maintenance of the Fresh water system. Ensures all operations comply with Eastern Kern County Air Pollution Control District Permits.

Requirements

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Licensed Boiler with 4+ years’ experience in boiler operations and maintenance
  • Technical knowledge of industrial process and mechanical equipment is required.
  • Experience in Production Supervision with a good knowledge of mechanical process equipment.
  • A good knowledge and understanding of process control concepts
  • Knowledge of the Union and Company CBA and supervising a union workforce.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • SAP knowledge
  • Plant operating knowledge
  • Project management
  • Reading and writing reports

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree desirable.
