About The Position

Medica is a nonprofit health plan serving over a million members across multiple states, focusing on personalized healthcare experiences and strong provider partnerships. This Supervisor role will oversee two teams of Administrative Support Specialists who provide Care Coordination referral support, administrative support to Care Coordinators, and member customer service. The role involves managing teams for State Public Programs and Government division members, particularly those in Care Coordination Products. The Supervisor will also partner with the Clinical Care Manager on implementing and evaluating care coordination services, driving improvements, and managing corrective action plans.

Requirements

RN Diploma or Degree in Nursing (Associates or Bachelors) + a minimum of 2 years’ experience in community based services, OR Bachelor's degree in Social Work + a minimum of 1-2+ years of community based services
5+ years clinical experience
1-2+ years supervisory experience of professional staff, including employees who are home office or located remotely; informal leadership that has included coaching and mentorship will also be considered
Active, unrestricted RN OR SW License in the state of MN Required
Excellent customer service skills and proven team building skills
Excellent computer skills and ability to leverage technology to lead remote teams
High degree of initiative and ability to work independently, and within a group
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work effectively, including the flexibility to accommodate frequent changes
Strong problem solving skills
Consultant skills to articulate business needs and translate to quality programs that result in targeted staff competencies
Strong leadership skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application.

Nice To Haves

MnCHOICES Certified Assessor Training (MNCAT) preferred or ability to obtain within 21 days of employment
Public Health Certification preferred, however not required

Responsibilities

Oversee two teams of Administrative Support Specialists.
Provide Care Coordination referral support.
Provide administrative support to the department of Care Coordinators.
Provide member customer service support.
Manage teams of care coordination support specialists for the provision of care coordination services for State Public Programs and other Medica members.
Partner with the Clinical Care Manager in the implementation and evaluation of Medica Care System care coordination services.
Implement improvement opportunities.
Manage corrective action plans as needed.
