About The Position

The Supervisor, Clinical (Cardiology) coordinates and supervises the day-to-day activities of ancillary staff in assigned operational area. This role manages and coordinates patient care during procedures, maintaining quality standards and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position.

Requirements

  • Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom or completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License or registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience.
  • Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways.
  • Effective interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to be detail oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain professional and courteous during highly stressful and fast-paced situations.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and supervises the daily operations of a patient care department, including forecasting and ensuring adequate staffing, taking departmental calls, planning for continuity of care, serving in charge nurse role, and providing direct patient care as needed.
  • Considers the diverse needs of each patient through the entire continuum of care, provides, and ensures the highest level of service according to established service standards and optimizes the patient experience.
  • Ensures areas of responsibility meet productivity, budgetary, employee engagements, and patient outcome targets and standards by working with department leadership to monitor and adjust plans as needed.
  • Serves as a clinical resource and communicates with appropriate parties to define/resolve immediate problems and promote continuity of patient care.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates policies, standards, in-service educational services, and programs that support the department.
  • Develops systems to continuously monitor the quality, safety and appropriateness of care and services provided.
  • Oversees staff retention, education, and competency, as well as supporting the professional development of the staff.
  • Prepares and gives performance evaluations.
