About The Position

Clinica Sierra Vista is a large Federally Qualified Health Center serving diverse patient populations. They are seeking individuals who prioritize the patient experience. This role, under the direction of the Practice Manager, is responsible for overseeing front office and clinical operations. The Supervisor CHC acts as the lead administrative person on-site in the Practice Manager's absence, ensuring operational efficiency and the achievement of health center objectives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of medical office experience in a health care outpatient clinic setting, preferably in a Federally Qualified Health Center.
  • Knowledge of billing codes, programs, HIPAA, Medical Record laws and regulations, and excellent customer service expectations.
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and keyboarding required.
  • Must adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista’s employee health/immunization requirements or provide a valid exemption request for subsequent approval.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in a business-related field is preferred.
  • CPR (BLS) card preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and organizes health center operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness in patient flow, and financial viability.
  • Interviews, trains, and coaches staff, including functions unique to the health center.
  • Supports staff in maintaining proficiency in their roles and provides training on the health center's culture, mission, practice management system, customer service, payer sources, programs, and quality initiatives.
  • Monitors health center operations, enforces standard work procedures and clinic policies, and troubleshoots problems to resolve patient issues.
  • Manages patient schedules to maximize access and minimize errors and delays.
  • Monitors the patient check-in/check-out process, including collections and deposits, ensuring daily completion.
  • Coordinates staff work schedules with the Practice Manager to ensure adequate coverage during staff absences.
  • Evaluates health center staff in patient-centered healthcare and patient care team delivery models.
  • Ensures the health center and team meet TJC, HRSA, PCMH, HEDIS, UDS, CHDP, and all quality improvement guidelines and requirements.
  • Maintains a customer service focus and ensures staff provides excellent patient experience, customer service, and quality outcomes.
  • Covers the front desk and assists patients with financial questions as needed.
  • Assists in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all billing reports.
  • Collaborates with the Practice Manager to complete performance evaluations and document counseling.
  • Supports staff by ensuring skills competency forms are completed, if applicable.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
