Supervisor, Central Supply
About The Position
The Central Sterile Supply Supervisor assists the Manager with the operational functions of Central Sterile Supply, including leadership and supervision of staff in the department’s daily operations. The supervisor ensures regulatory guidelines and best practices are followed; handles personnel activities such as recruitment, disciplinary counseling, and staff competency; and educates and trains Central Sterile Supply Technicians. The role sets standards for instrument sterilization, adheres to budgetary guidelines, and works with patient care managers to promote quality patient care.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience in Central Processing and Supply Management.
- Certification from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) or the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution.
