About The Position

The Supervisor Central Sterile Processing oversees work in a sterile processing department. The role requires knowledge of decontamination and sterilization sciences, case cart systems, and medical and surgical supplies and equipment, as well as applicable AAMI, AORN, FDA, JCAHO, and OSHA standards. The position calls for management and leadership competence, effective communication, computer proficiency, and analytical skills.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a sterile processing or operating room environment.
• Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization sciences, case cart systems, and medical/surgical supplies and equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of AAMI, AORN, FDA, JCAHO, and OSHA standards.
• Computer experience and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Office software.
• Demonstrated competence in management and leadership skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• High school diploma.
• Graduate of a Sterile Processing program.
• CRCST certification.
• ASHCSP or IAHCSMM certification.
• CHL certification must be obtained within 1 year of the start date.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
