Supervisor Central Sterile Processing
About The Position
The Supervisor Central Sterile Processing oversees work in a sterile processing environment. The role requires knowledge of decontamination and sterilization sciences, case cart systems, and medical and surgical supplies and equipment, along with competence in management and leadership. The supervisor uses computer and office software, including Word and Excel, and analytical skills, and communicates effectively. The position requires at least three years of experience in a sterile processing or operating room environment. A year of supervisory experience is preferred. A high school diploma and graduation from a Sterile Processing program are required. CRCST certification and ASHCSP or IAHCSMM are required, and CHL must be obtained within one year of the start date.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a sterile processing or operating room environment.
- Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization sciences, case cart systems, and medical/surgical supplies and equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of AAMI, AORN, FDA, JCAHO, and OSHA standards.
- Computer experience.
- Competence in management and leadership skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Word, Excel, and Office software skills, as well as analytical skills.
- High school diploma.
- Graduation from a Sterile Processing program.
- CRCST certification.
- ASHCSP or IAHCSMM certification.
- Obtain CHL within 1 year of the start date.
